Band Portraiture- Happily Ever After

Like I said, it’s been a very long hiatus since the last time I was really taking it seriously in taking photographs. Well my most recent photographs were merely snapshots, taking during events that I had attended.

So yesterday, I got a text from Ryza requesting me to take some photos for his band since one of his teammate is furthering his study somewhere else. I had no expectation at first, but seeing the setting of the place that we were shooting and after being amused by the fact that it took me a while to discover what URAQT is, *just pretend you know what I’m saying* I had a sudden flow of ideas coming in my mind.

My skills are a little bit sloppy, the white balance, exposure were a bit, you know, technically, wrong. But it doesn’t bother me. Let be bold a little bit.

So here it is, Happily Ever After. Btw you might wanna check out their Facebook page and myspace;

You should listen to one of their many singles like ‘Warna Kehidupan.’ It’s a nice song, really.

Last but not least, I am really grateful for the opportunity, I had fun. I am really satisfied with this set. :)

Thanks for the memories

I started to join SIFE UTP in the middle of the year 2010 and that is if i’m not mistaken, I was approached by Farid Mazlan to help him with technical stuffs in CSR Challenge, which is one of the many projects of SIFE UTP. Ouh and I thought it’s gonna be more or less like what I usually do for Medtech. So I just simply agreed to join him without knowing what SIFE actually is at the very first place.

Then in CSR I met Erni, Putera, Gowe, Tyah, those who were responsible moving CSR forward. For every visits that I have joined, I can see that these people and other CSR members were very passionate and they share the same objectives, the same goals, the same passion that they all possess which is to change someone’s life and make them better.

Ouh then that kept me thinking, in SIFE, I’m not just a normal tech dude, but instead, with the tasks that were assigned to me, that would actually facilitate in changing someone’s life. That what makes SIFE, particularly SIFE UTP, so unique, so different than the normal clubs or associations. Because our intention is genuinely pure to help others who are in need, to move forward with us, together.

Then in 2011, I took the responsibility as the technical manager. And again I assumed, I’m just gonna be a normal tech dude, being assigned here and there to take in charge in photo taking and whatnot.

However, as time goes by, I start to assume the responsibility to supervise CSR and that has been given me the opportunity, the driving force for me to think out of the box, push myself out of the typical thinking capability and boundaries, and be creative and resourceful in project management. Even though I am not directly related in leading the project, it had naturally created the sense of belonging to my team. In SIFE we always do meeting very casually, but talk serious stuffs. And it would usually prolong until mamak session where we will still continue to talk about SIFE related matters.

Everywhere, my teammates and I will talk about SIFE.

Recently, for the past 3 months, I was preparing for SIFE Malaysia National Exposition 2011, represented UTP. And along the way, I start to love the people that I have been working with. They are lovely people, who genuinely care about everyone who is in the team.

With the whole team and Minister of International Trade. Will be representing Malaysia for SIFE World Cup 2011

Anna, Wani, Din, Redha, (I have no idea why I prefer to call you Redha instead of Red. lol x), Arina, Roisah, Ady, Bob, Qiqi, Ainman, Imad, and not forgetting Sugan, CSR members, Pot, Tyah, Nik, Rocker!, Bibo, Moga, Ulun and the rest of the team, Mr Am the very hardwrking faculty advisor, as well as SAB, Ain, Sol, Qayyum, Zeff, Tengku, Piqa, Adib, Kimi, Anip, Rahman, Lyana, Amira, Mahsyar, Erni, Zul, Kak Ada, Wafi, Ayoh, Adam Anip and the rest of the committed student advisory board members, SIFE UTP Alumni, Akhi, Kak Ema, Anding.

I will never regret knowing you guys. Never is a strong word but I don’t mind making such bold statement now because that is what I believe.

Thanks you for the memories. :)
